The Ridge Christian Academy Core Values

Christian Character 

A primary objective of The Ridge Christian Academy is to utilize available resources to develop students who grasp and live out a Christ-centered life, and who are prepared to engage the world that awaits them. The Ridge Christian Academy exists such that students will: 

• Attain a deeper understanding of, and ability to articulate and defend, their faith.

• Demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). 

• Present themselves as ambassadors for Christ. 

• Demonstrate a working knowledge of the word of God. 

• Embrace a God-centered view of the world.

Academic Excellence 

A primary objective of The Ridge Christian Academy is to realize academic excellence by motivating students to achieve their highest potential to become productive citizens, life- long learners, and creative thinkers with an integrated biblical worldview. The Ridge Christian Academy exists such that students will: 

• Be able to recognize God’s hand in the natural world and in human history and culture. 

• Learn from a broad range of course work to achieve a comprehensive academic foundation. Learn in an environment that identifies, challenges, and supports exceptional learners. 

• Demonstrate improved academic performance and progress toward high academic success. Demonstrate critical thinking, organizational, and effective oral and written communication skills. 

• Recognize and productively demonstrate their God-given talents and abilities.

Godly Leadership 

The Ridge Christian Academy will prepare its students with the experience and capabilities needed to recognize and demonstrate servant-leadership at home, at work, and in service to their communities in the next stages of their lives. The Ridge Christian Academy exists such that students will: 

• Develop their leadership gifts and their ability to employ those gifts with a servant’s heart.

• Recognize and follow godly leaders. 

• Lead by example as their behavior consistently represents Christ.

• Demonstrate biblically based decision-making skills. 

• Demonstrate appropriate submission to authority. 

• Exhibit confidence in their ability to articulate and model their Christian convictions with gentleness and respect.

Holistic Student Development 

The Ridge Christian Academy will utilize its resources, in the most efficient way possible, to educate and challenge its students in all facets of their personhood to discover their unique design and apply it to the glory of God. The Ridge Christian Academy exists such that students will: 

• Recognize the ways in which they, and the world they live in, are uniquely designed by  God. 

• Understand, develop, and apply their spiritual gifts to serve and glorify God 

• Recognize and appreciate the unique design of all human beings made in God’s image. 

• Understand the importance of civic obligations and participate where appropriate. 

• Internalize appreciation and respect for others as a result of multi-cultural exposure.
